Certified to teach kindergarten through twelfth grade mathematics in Florida, I specialize in tutoring in this field and in preparing students for standardized exams such as the GED, GMAT, FCAT, SAT, and GRE. I simplify concepts in math as much as possible. By making concepts more practical, I can help students gain math skills and confidence, thereby improving their test scores and grades. I concentrate on explanation when I tutor. We do a lot of reading and analyzing while quizzes, practice exercises, and questions and answers are major parts of the session. I will also go over homework if that is required. Algebra, linear algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations are my favorite math subjects to tutor although there are others. I teach in Florida but obtained my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The City University of New York and a master's degree in Math and Education from Cambridge College. Now I live in Pembroke Pines, Florida and enjoy reading history and literature and traveling in my leisure time.
