I attended Florida International University, graduating with a BA in history, Magna Cum Laude, with an additional award honoring my academic achievements. While studying at FIU, I worked as a preceptor in the history department, which gave me the chance to teach other students proper writing and research skills. It seemed to me that many of these students had not learned the things they needed in high school to prepare them for working at a college level. Therefore, I made sure to teach them the various skills they would need in order to succeed at a university level. Part of studying history is doing a lot of writing, so I find myself excelling as a tutor for history, both American and European, and also for writing essays, conducting proper research, and various skills in writing. I tutor students in high school so they will be prepared to be successful in college. I tutor students in college so they will be prepared to graduate. My approach is based on technique, and therefore is not limited to writing or history. In my free time, I like to learn and teach martial arts, and visit living history events around the state.
